A cooking class is one of the nicest ways to enjoy Lake Garda, even out of season: you learn something new, meet people and end up at the table. But they are not all the same. Here is what to check before booking.
1. The format: one evening or several days
Evening cooking classes last a few hours and end with dinner: ideal for a different night out with friends or as a couple. Multi-day classes are for preparations that need time, like panettone (dough on day one, shaping and baking on day two) or fermentation.
2. How many people
The smaller the group, the more you actually cook instead of watching. At Talent Kitchen open classes have a maximum of 15 participants.
3. Who teaches
A good class is taught by someone who does it every day: a chef, a pizzaiolo, a mill technician, a fermentation expert. Always check the name on the class page.
4. What is included
Before booking, check whether ingredients, equipment and apron are included, and whether you eat what you cooked at the end.
5. Open class or private class
If you are already a group (friends, family, colleagues, a bachelor or bachelorette party), a private class is the way: you choose theme and date. For companies there are our team building formats.
How much does a cooking class on Lake Garda cost
It depends on length and theme. At Talent Kitchen in Sirmione evening classes cost €90 per person and two-morning classes €240, with an early bird price for the first places. You will find all dates in the class calendar.
